To the left is the New South Houma Station on Saint Charles Street. It houses Engine 1 and
Engine 6. Engine 1 is manned by a crew made up of a Captain, Fire Equipment Operator (F.E.O.),
and at least one Firefighter, while Engine 6 is a spare unit. This station opened March 14, 2006 and replaces the station on
Bayou Black next to the boat launch. To the right is a picture of South Houma Station in its original location on Bayou Black.
